Rhythmtree Festival, now in its 7th year, will once again take residency at Three Gates Farm between 15th and 17th July this year. Showcasing a diverse range of genres from the Isle of Wight, the rest of the UK and beyond, this safe, family orientated festival is guaranteed to go down a treat with revellers.
Leading the first lineup announcement are none other than Rhythmtree favourites Plastic Mermaids, who come to Three Gates Farm as part of their busy summer festival schedule which will see them play at Kendal Calling and Bluedot Festival. They will be joined on the Main Stage by six-piece Londoners Tankus The Henge, whose influences range from The Beatles to Radiohead.
Also confirmed are Main Stage headliners Ibibio Sound Machine who, since appearing on Later in 2014, have become a staple of the UK and global festival scene. Popular MC Afrikan Boy will also be appearing at Rhythmtree, bringing with him his bass-heavy urban sounds and dynamic stage presence.
Completing the first lineup announcement are (in no particular order): James Taylor Quartet, Robyn Hitchcock, John Otway, Sarabanda, John Hegley, Emma Swift, Bowie Songs, Atlantico, Deborah Rose & Mari Randle, mini-Mekons, Tuba-Libres, Joe Boyd, Blanty, Chris Jagger Trio, Jon Langford, Transit Hamenteh, Mount Nakara, Diabel Cissokho Band, Roving Crows, Ushti Baba, Ashley Hutchings & Ruth Angell, Wild Willy Barrett’s French Connection and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Weekend tickets are priced at £70, including parking and camping, and can be purchased here.
