5 acts you can’t afford to miss at Rhythmtree 2017

Rhythmtree Festival returns to Three Gates Farm, Isle of Wight, next weekend, 14th to 16th July, with another diverse line-up from across the world of music. As ever, there’s many hidden talents for you to discover across the festival’s three stages, but we’ve compiled a list of just 5 acts we think you’ll want to go and check out…

UHURU – Saturday, Didge Café

Southampton dance-duo UHURU were our favourite act last year’s Rhythmtree, so we’re over the moon to be able to see them again this year. If it’s a dance you’re after then these two lads are certainly worth checking it out.

London African Gospel Choir – Saturday, Main Stage

The world-renowned London African Gospel Choir will be performing Paul Simon’s legendary album Graceland in full on Rhythmtree’s Main Stage. They’ve been a sell-out success at venues across London, so make sure you get your ticket to see them on the Island.

Nakamarra – Sunday, Woodland Stage

Fresh from a slot on the Isle of Wight Festival’s Main Stage, indie-electro five-piece Nakamarra have been making real movements on the Isle of Wight. Their infectious melodies and powerful vocals from lead singer Charlie Jones will be the perfect way to end your weekend.

Beans On Toast – Saturday, Didge Café

Arguably one of the hardest-working musicians out there, folk singer Beans On Toast will be headlining the Didge Café on the Saturday night. He released his eighth studio album at the end of last year, so you’ll be sure to hear tracks from that.

Tankus The Henge – Sunday, Main Stage

It’s not really Rhythmtree without them, so it’s great to see that rock ‘n’ rollers Tankus The Henge will be closing the festival’s Main Stage this year. Expect a raucous, upbeat performance from the six-piece which will leave you wanting more.

Rhythmtree Festival 2017 will see headline performances from Lightning Seeds, The Blockheads and Stereo MC’s, as well as Beans On Toast, The Voodoo Love Orchestra, London African Gospel Choir and more. For the full, line-up, please see here.
